Falken confirms 2015 VLN and Nürburgring campaign

Japanese tyre manufacturer, Falken Tyre Europe is continuing its motorsport campaign with the proven Porsche 911 GT3 R racing the Nordschleife once again in 2015. Peter Dumbreck, Wolf Henzler, Alexandre Imperatori and Martin Ragginger will again contend selected races of the VLN Championship along with the legendary ADAC 24 hour race.



Falken Motorsport's history with the Nürburgring dates back to the 1990s, with drivers such as Dumbreck who has already completed eight Nürburging 24 hour races with the team; this rich history is set to continue for 2015. The ADAC 24 hour race remains a highlight of the season, where last year the team took fourth place, its highest finish, with the car covering an astonishing 3,985km without any issue.

Mitas unveils new sizes of CR 01 crane tyres

Mitas has added two new sizes to its CR-01 crane tyres

The all-new Mitas 385/95R25 CR-01 170F TL and 525/80R25 CR-01 176F TL are tyres designed for speeds of up to 80 km/h (for 385/95R25) and 90 km/h (for 525/80R25).

The maximum operational load capacity of the Mitas 525/80R25 CR-01 is 17,750 kg and 7,100 kg at speed 80 km/h under 7 bar.

To date, Mitas produces three sizes of CR-01 crane tyres and delivers them to major manufacturers such as Liebherr and Manitowoc.

Mitas will introduce new ERL-30 in Paris

Mitas will unveil the newest addition to its family of ERL-30 earth-moving tyres at the INTERMAT fair in Paris April, 20-25.

The new Mitas 29.5R25 ERL-30 tyre will be available for worldwide sales early in June 2015. ERL tyres are used on loaders, dozers and graders in mining operations.

The all-steel radial construction of Mitas 29.5R25 ERL-30 tyre is particularly designed for large wheel loaders such as Liebherr L 586 and Caterpillar 980. The Mitas ERL series features 12 various tyres of 28 to 90 mm tread depth.

German tyre and wheel wholesaler Hämmerling – The Tyre Company GmbH has recently received further confirmation of the quality of its TALAS-Steel brand of truck and bus wheels due to the fact that the wheels have now passed a 5 tonne test. The wheels, which are manufactured to high quality according to the EUWA standard are also TüV certified and controlled and are claimed to be the only wheel brand carrying the TüV seal directly on the wheel.

Hämmerling Launches Pan-European Athos Service Network

German tyre wholesaler Hämmerling - The Tyre Company GmbH, used the opportunity offered by the IAA Exhibition in Hanover to announce the launch of a new pan-European service network for its ATHOS truck and bus tyre brand.

The "ATHOS Service Network" is a 24 hour service aimed at rental fleets, transport companies and manufacturers of trucks and commercial vehicles across 24 European countries. According to Managing Director Ralf Hämmerling, the new ATHOS network is unique due to the fact that customers can access standard prices across Europe. Tyre changes and breakdown service will be handled as far as possible by affiliated European ATHOS dealers. If these are not in the vicinity or available, an established service organisation will step in. In the UK this is handled by the UK agent for the ATHOS brand, Philip White Tyres and their network of customers.
